DOD Engagement Manager

Position Overview:

The DOD Engagement Manager plays a crucial role in our success by establishing relationships with Mission Partners across the DOD. A successful DoD Engagement Manager will leverage their experience with and knowledge of the military to assist Mission Partners in identifying and articulating innovation needs and assisting in the development of new technology-based solutions to solve those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Establish strong relationships with DOD mission partners across all branches of the military
  • • Collaborate across multiple internal and external stakeholders to define, design, and develop new technology to solve critical needs across DOD
  • • Plan and deliver problem sourcing seminars and requirements planning sessions
  • • Coordinate with Mission Partners to map and document current “as-is” and future “to-be” scenarios to develop a comprehensive gap analysis for each area of need
  • • Think creatively and reimagine the new experience or technology that will solve the need
  • • Serve as the “voice” of the Mission Partner in design and development sessions
  • • Assist in the examination and assessment of new technologies that may broadly meet Mission Partner needs

DOD Engagement Manager

Academic Engagement Manager

Position Overview:

The Academic Engagement Manager plays a crucial role in establishing and managing relationships with academic institutions, faculty researchers, and students aspiring to a career in national security. A successful Academic Engagement Manager will leverage their experience with and knowledge of academic environments, technology transition processes, and technology transfer processes to develop and deliver meaningful programming and accelerate the technology transfer process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Cultivate and maintain a robust pipeline of and strong relationships with academic institutions, faculty researchers, and students across Arizona.
  • • Collect and analyze data on research and development spending (including federal grants), to identify trends in spending and gaps in resources; provide quarterly reports on these    gaps to inform the design, development, and delivery of new programming.
  • • Identify, monitor, analyze and report on impact metrics and activities within the academic research community.
  • • Assist in the selection, examination and assessment of basic and applied research and prototype technologies to meet Mission Partner needs.
  • • Coordinate the cross-functional tech assessment team to ensure the timely delivery of pre-assessment and assessments of emerging technologies.
  • • Develop and maintain the roadmap for university-led startups and guide them on their journey from their current state through their successful outcome.
  • • Manage interactions with university-led startups on their journey through the start-up road map, scheduling regular check-in meetings, and providing direct support as needed. Support may include, but is not limited to:
    • • one-on-one coaching
    • • recommendations for trainings
    • • assistance developing marketing materials and pitches
    • • identifying and securing a pipeline for funding opportunities.
  • • Drive awareness across academia for participation in programming offered by the National Security Information Network
  • • Attend events to cultivate new relationships, identify opportunities to design, develop, and deliver pilot programs across Arizona.

Academic Engagement Manager

Program Support Specialist

Position Overview:

The Program Support Specialist plays a crucial role in our success by providing various administrative and programmatic functions for multiple stakeholders. As the main support person for one of our largest government contracts, this position is responsible for direct support to the Program Manager and our government customer to ensure a positive stakeholder experience from the very first interaction. The Program Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the program is well organized, that processes and procedures are aligned to key objectives, and that all key metrics are tracked and analyzed regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Provide administrative support to the program management team, including coordinating appointments and scheduling workshops with key stakeholders.
  • • Assist in the development and management of essential business documentation, including strategic plans, program management plans, project plans, annual reports, etc.
  • • Track shared tasks and tasks assigned to by the program management team, monitoring completion dates and timelines.
  • • Gather data and draft weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and presentations for on-time submission.
  • • Receive all support inquiries and leads from our government partners, analyze initial needs, and provide a warm transfer to the appropriate internal resource.
  • • Support the design and integration of operational and reporting workflows – including budgets, performance metrics, performance evaluations, etc. – to establish effective, efficient processes and procedures.
  • • Gather and organize data, documentation, and metrics for support services, ensuring permissioned access and visibility across the team.
  • • Assist with travel planning, trip reservations, and expense reports associated with company related travel.
  • • Coordinate internal and external resources to write and publish case studies and success stories.
  • • Assist with translating proposal content, including statements of work and contract documentation into program management plans that effectively leverage existing tools and resources.
  • • Develop and deliver high quality presentations.
  • • Attend technology demonstrations, tech-centered conferences and events, and meetings as requested.

Program Support Specialist

Instructional Designer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instructional Designer with training management experience to join our technology team. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating curriculum, developing instructional materials, and conducting training sessions to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development to our partners across the Department of Defense, Academia, and the start-up community. The ideal candidate will possess experience designing and delivering interactive learning experiences for adult learners, and prior experience as a workshop facilitator or training manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Designer

Security Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join our team. The Security Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and implementing security measures to protect both information and operational assets. This role includes ensuring compliance with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) facility clearance requirements for secret level clearance. The Security Analyst will manage and monitor security protocols, conduct risk assessments, and work closely with various departments to maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience successfully developing and implementing comprehensive informational and operational security policies in the defense contracting industry. Specific responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

Informational Security

  • • Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to the organization’s information systems and data.
  • • Respond to and manage information security incidents, including data breaches and cyber-attacks, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
  • • Ensure information security practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • • Perform internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to information security policies and procedures.

Operational Security

  • • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational security processes, including physical security measures, access controls, and surveillance systems.
