EXTiC: Experimentation Event with CENTCOM

WHAT HAPPENED

We hosted EXTiC 26-1, an experimentation event focused on scenarios and technical assessments in contested environments. Rather than a standard showcase, this event allowed defense companies to validate their technical objectives across five critical operational verticals and demonstrate their capabilities to leadership during Distinguished Visitor (DV) day.

WHAT WE DID

Executed a strategic partnership with CENTCOM. We iterated and fostered success with new vendors and those already in our network such as CX2, CI-PHER, and GAMBIT, etc. to bring in eager and demonstration ready companies.

WHY IT MATTERS

This event positioned the DIU OnRamp Hub: Arizona as a credible venue for experimentation. Proved our ability to coordinate a functioning event with order and adhere to our stated assessments. We achieved our mission’s goal by bridging the gap between defense startups and operational requirements to help expedite potential contracting and tech validation. This gap was bridged so well in fact that we have a couple of companies that have gotten a bit of interest from CENTCOM for contracts. The three(3) companies were CI-PherRADD & Hyperion. With one(1) of the three(3) companies being Arizona based. This is not just big for these small companies trying to get into the DoW space, but also for the Arizona Ecosystem.

QUANTIFIED RESULTS

13 vetted companies in attendance, with technical assessment done for each one, engagement from a cohort of Distinguished Visitors across varied government or industry sources.
